But once you do fill up your RAM then the system has to start swapping chunks of memory out to disk (swap file) and that has a very noticeable performance impact. ![]() As long as you have enough RAM, you can keep loading more stuff and it won't impact performance as long as those processes aren't ALSO demanding CPU, GPU or disk resources - in which case there would be a performance impact, but not because of RAM.
